The challenge

A dental site is read by someone who is already slightly anxious and usually in a hurry. They want three things fast: can you treat what I have, are you any good, and how do I get an appointment.

The default answer (clinical blues, stock smiles, a services page three clicks deep) answers none of them quickly. And the clinic serves a city where a share of patients are reading in their second or third language.

The approach

I dropped the clinical palette for warm gold and cream, and used photographs of the actual practice rather than stock. A real, calm, well-lit room does more for dental anxiety than any reassuring copy.

Every treatment the clinic offers is laid out in a single six-cell grid (hygiene, therapeutic, surgery and implants, orthopaedic, orthodontic, paediatric) each with its specific procedures listed underneath. One screen answers 'can you treat what I have' without a click.

The practical details never move: address, phone number and opening hours are pinned in the header beside the language switcher, above a booking button that repeats in the hero. Three numbered reasons to choose the clinic, patient testimonials and an embedded map close the page, the same trust sequence a person walks through in their head anyway.

The outcome

A page that reads as a place rather than a provider. The clinic's own mission (that keeping Ukrainians healthy is what lets them support their families and their country) sits at the centre of it in the clinic's words, which is the part no design system supplies.
