About

Design is a way of paying attention

I came to design the long way round. I studied international relations in Lviv, then spent twelve years in IT, coordinating projects and then managing them: web platforms, CRMs, a mobile app. For six of those years I was the person writing the brief, not the one designing against it.

Four years ago I moved to the other side of the table. Having run delivery first changed how I design: I know what a developer needs from a spec, what a stakeholder needs from a prototype, and how much of a redesign actually survives contact with a backlog. Most of my work since has been e-commerce interfaces, design systems and design tokens, and brand identity: two years on Veneta.com, and most recently as senior designer at iExist.nl.

I'm based in Harderwijk, freelancing at the moment and open to a permanent role. Outside client work I've coordinated regional support for Stichting 'Oekrainers in Nederland' since 2022, and I speak four languages well enough to run a workshop in any of them.

Let's get in touch!

Got a product that needs shaping?

I'm freelancing at the moment and open to a full- or part-time role alongside it. Whether you need a designer for one project or for the long run, tell me a bit about what you're building.
